Poland Camp
Mon, 09 Aug 2010 from Roving Reporter

The first Polish summer camp was held in the last week of July at Ustka, which is located in the northwestern part of Poland, on the Baltic Sea. We had nearly 70 folks from all over Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Kenya, Italy, Germany, UK and of course Poland. The camp was awesome, with great choruses (in 4 languages), testimonies, ministry, baptisms in the Baltic Sea and a beautiful beach assembly wedding of Magda and Irek of Poland.

The theme of the camp was “our personal relationship with God”. Pastor Konrad and his wife, Lucia, were wonderful hosts. Besides the two meetings every day, we also had organized activities in the afternoons: such as beach walks, mountain climbing and sightseeing.  On the ‘free days’ the owner of the camp also set up games like shooting competitions, trampoline, badminton, swimming and even tai-chi to get our bones unlocked.

One rainy day, we had a party in cabin #5 where the non-English speaking saints were sharing their testimonies of how they came to the Lord in exciting details over a cup of tea/coffee & biscuits. That was when we learnt that the Lord works in wondrous ways in bringing people to His family and all we have to do is keep talking to people about Him and be a testimony to Him and He will do the rest.

We have learnt so much from the talks and the gifts and testimonies from the saints. Our personal relationship with the Lord is to love the Lord and do what pleases Him and that’s what cements the bricks (spirit-filled people) together and makes the Church strong and to stay together in unity.

Latest news from Brisbane
Thu, 05 Aug 2010 from Brisbane

It has been an exciting time in the Brisbane assembly this year with many people from different countries visiting our Main Meeting Hall. We have seen 4 people baptised from Nepal and fellowshipping with us here in Brisbane. A visit to Kathmandu is being planned for the end of the year.

Visitors from across Australia and New Zealand have also attended meetings. They have reported great things about their Centres and also the things the Lord has done in their lives.

With outreaches, concerts, a prayer & feast day, a bonfire night, it has been a really good time as the Lord blesses the testimonies of the Saints.

Get a Life! - 2010 Rally
Sat, 03 Jul 2010 from Melbourne

The RCI International Rally for 2010 got us together and got us pumped. It was held at Melbourne's Box Hill hall this year (with hired chairs, and tents and special parking and people everywhere).

The theme was provocative and direct

Much more intimate than other venues
(some even called it squashy, but in a good way...)

The music was hot gospel and cool jazz at the same time...

Plenty to smile about during choruses

International flavour and strong melodies from Papua New Guinea

Good news, good play: "With us". Get a life...

See you all next year!

Signs, Wonders and Miracles
Fri, 04 Jun 2010 from Roving Reporter

This was the start of my 38th trip into Papua New Guinea and I was to visit two new places where the Church has been growing at a remarkable pace.

In the Southern Highlands of PNG, a place called Nipa, approx a 5 hour drive from Mount Hagen, was to be our first stop on this most enjoyable visit. The Nipa Assembly got started because a man whose name is Kole was healed by the Power of God and because of that miracle, approx 18 months ago built an assembly hall and asked for help to get the Gospel out to the community.

In the middle of May 2010, over 3,000 people gathered in the marketplace to hear the gospel being preached. The end result was a new hall opening and 38 people baptised and Spirit filled.

My traveling companion was Kerry Daley from Coffs Harbour, his 2nd trip into the country. We then moved onto Mount Hagen where fellowship and leadership meetings were conducted. Preparations had also been made for us to travel into a remote area of the Madang Province called Simbai Station.

A work had begun a few years back in villages surrounding Simbai Station. Many miracles were happening in the area and numbers increased, and an invitation was sent for me to attend and conduct a leadership training meeting. In a small plane we took off from Mt Hagen and after 20mins flying (or 4 days of walking), we arrived at Simbai on a small grass airstrip nestled between 2 mountain ranges. From the air it looked like a great place to visit, and on the ground it turned out to be one on the most exciting welcomes I have ever received in Papua New Guinea. Over 200 of the saints from the area had gathered at the airstrip to say hello and welcome us to this place. Many of the townsfolk also came out to see what was happening.

After fellowship and a marketplace outreach, 10 people were baptised and received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Our next place of call was Lae, the 2nd major town in PNG. Here we had fellowship, outreaching and a leadership meeting plus more baptisms. Lae is to be one of the venues for the Youth National Rally in 2011.

Port Moresby was our last port of call before flying back to Australia. It is always nice to finish a trip by visiting the saints in the capital, where 2 more people were baptised. This brings a total of 53 people who have heard the word and acted upon it - may their walk in the Lord be a prosperous one as they learn to put their trust in the Lord.

I have had many trips to PNG, and this has to be one that is right up there with the best.

Baptism in the Baltic
Sun, 02 May 2010 from admin

Hello from the Saints in Poland. At Easter all the Polish Saints gathered together here in Ustka/Slupsk near the Baltic Sea where most of us live. We had our brethren from Zielona Gora (400km away from Slupsk) and our brethren from Gdansk (150km away from Slupsk) with us.

The highlight of the meeting was a baptism. A man called Andrzej came along to our meeting two weeks before Easter. One of us had given him a leaflet a year before he came for the first time. Andrzej was really brave and got baptised in the 6 degrees cold water of the Baltic Sea and received the Holy Spirit straight after the baptism, when we all prayed with him at the beach.

Please keep him and our work here in your prayers. God bless, Pastor Konrad and Lucia

That's right, 6 degrees in the Baltic Sea
but filled with the Holy Spirit nevertheless

Liberia's Fourth Centre
Tue, 23 Mar 2010 from Roving Reporter

Our Church in Liberia has been running meetings since December of 2008 and has now established its fourth centre.

Meetings are held at Banjor (Lower Virginia), Sawmill (Bomi County), Royseville (Bougbeh) and Parker Corner (Dudu Town).

People are happy to come to our meetings to hear the gospel being preached faithfully and we are seeing people being healed by the Power of God. They go on to be baptised in water by full immersion and receive the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. People's lives are being changed daily.

We still have our challenges as we establish our meeting venues. The rainy season can cause us some problems as we don’t have permanent halls for our meetings. We are using makeshift premises at present. We trust in the Lord and know he will provide for us as we grow in Him.

A special thank you goes to our main centres in Australia who have been assisting us as we bring God's good news to this nation.

In January this year my wife Christina, had our fourth child, named David.

Warialda Outreach
Tue, 26 Jan 2010 from Brisbane

In a town called Warialda near Moree in Northwest NSW, a group of Saints drove just over 5 hours from Brisbane and the Gold Coast to bring the Gospel to the folk of this country town.

Many testimonies, items and ministry happened over this week-end with this being the 2nd meeting held in the town. One person received the Holy Spirit on this visit. There are a total of 4 saints here with others still looking into the Scriptures.

These are early days for this new work with more followup being conducted over the next few months as a new work gets underway.

Pastor Jeremiah Visits Liberia
Fri, 18 Dec 2009 from Roving Reporter

Pastor Jeremiah Nyamai from Kenya is at present visiting Liberia to help in our new work in this country.

At his first meeting, two ladies received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

The following Sunday meeting was a great time of fellowship (see photos) concluding with three people getting baptised.

Pastor Jeremiah is traveling with Pastor Paul Zawolo (Liberia) and they are visiting as many centres as they can while he is there. These centres are in the capital, Monrovia. A following trip will get them into the countryside.

Pastor Jerimiah said: "The people are excited to hear about the Good News from the Bible, especially the younger generation who see it as awesome. God Bless".

PNG continues to prosper in the Lord
Thu, 26 Nov 2009 from Roving Reporter

Pastor Darcy Ryan (Brisbane), Pastor Bruce Judkins (Melbourne) and Kerry Daley (Coffs Harbour) visited many centres on this visit. Starting with Madang, then onto Vanimo, followed by a drive to Aitape and a return to Sissano Lagoon. Another long drive to Wewak and then onto Port Moresby.

The purpose of this visit was for "Oversight leadership training" mixed with outreaching. All centres have reported great growth throughout the country even through the difficult economic times.

The first Youth National Rally in PNG  will be held in June 2011 with Justin Kells (Brisbane) leading a group of Youth Leaders  from Australia and New Zealand. This will be a huge event for the centres across the country. The young people in PNG are excited about hosting this event and have started their planning already.
